WMI Concerts

The extraordinary French-born Gypsy Juan Carmona, a leading figure in the new generation of flamenco guitarists, returns to New York after his acclaimed NY debut at globalFest. In addition to accompanying major names in flamenco, the Latin Grammy-nominated artist received numerous flamenco awards in Spain, including first prize in Madrid’s Paco de Lucia Competition. His ensemble features the brilliant dancer Manuel Gutierrez; flamenco’s new singing star Rafael de Utrera; and musicians on guitar, flute, bass, and percussion.
