Oulaya's Wedding (2017) 60 min. Group Doueh is one of the most beloved bands in the occupied territory of Western Sahara, morphing between acoustic and electric modes with members of their family and friends joining the band as the mood requires over the last 27 years. They invited Sublime Frequencies to the wedding of their eldest daughter Oulaya. This documentary provides a special glimpse into the lives of people living on our planet, their minds, their music, their homes, ceremonies, and parties! An absolutely beautiful document, rich and intimate.
WMI PLUS experiences are supported by a grant from ConEdison.
