Imarhan, meaning ‘The ones I care about’, are considered to be one of the best Tuareg bands from Algeria. Blending the funkier grooves of Western Africa with the sparse, subtle tones of Saharan traditional Folk music and the fire and romance of Algerian Rai music, Imarhan presents a variance of rhythms, tempo and feeling like no other Tuareg band to date.

Their latest album Temet, meaning “connections,” is a call for unity. According to NPR Music, “You’d be hard pressed to find music that celebrates the spirit of humanity more… it’s just beautiful.”
