Let’s ring in 2026 with an intimate evening of Indian rhythms and culture featuring Suphala at the distinctive and intimate Clara Aich studio. The performance will be followed by a Q&A with the artist. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Net proceeds of the event to benefit World Music Institute’s programming and mission.

Suphala is a groundbreaking tabla player, percussionist, composer, and producer who seamlessly moves between Indian classical music traditions and contemporary genres. Mentored by both Ustad Allarakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain, and having begun classical piano training at just four years old, her distinctive and improvisational compositions have garnered praise from prominent publications such as The New York Times and Vogue. An instinctive performer, she not only leads her own bands but also collaborates with renowned artists like Timbaland, Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono, Vernon Reid, and Perry Ferrell.
