WMI is looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to join the WMI Team as interns and volunteers and help us bring our exciting programming to NYC stages. Perks include tickets to WMI concerts and other special events.
We need help with:
- Community Outreach
- Marketing Support
- Office Administration
- Information Table at Concerts
Community Outreach
For each of our concerts, we contact the specific ethnic community for that particular concert. Community Outreach interns/volunteers research and then travel to various communities in New York City and communicate with community leaders and members in order to create awareness of upcoming WMI events.
Office Administration
Office interns are assigned to different departments at WMI according to their skills and WMI’s needs. They provide general administrative and clerical support. This role may be remote.
Concerts
Volunteers at concerts help greet guests at the WMI information table. We ask greeters to arrive shortly before doors open and come back to the table after the show ends. Concert volunteers must attend a one-time orientation meeting held over Zoom.
All volunteer and intern positions require the individual to perform multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and a pleasant and professional manner are essential. Bilingual skills are greatly valued.
