Unfortunately,  Eileen Ivers and her band cannot be part of the March 5 performance at Symphony Space, as originally planned. Dervish will still perform and promise to give New Yorkers a full evening of world-class Irish music! Current ticket holders will receive notification from Symphony Space about their attendance options.

March in NYC brings the celebration of the best of Irish culture and this special WMI presentation is no exception. The all-star celtic line-up features performances by BBC Lifetime Achievement Award winners Dervish, an ensemble that includes some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, fronted by one of the country’s best-known singers, Cathy Jordan. The band’s six members are all steeped in the musical traditions of counties Sligo and Leitrim in northwest Ireland, and have been touring the world together for over 30 years.

The ORIGINS series features artists who delve into the folklore and roots of their respective culture’s music to tell the story of their origins, preserving and affirming cultural identities and legacies
