Get ready to experience flamenco like never before as La Plazuela makes its much-anticipated debut in New York City! This duo from Granada, Spain, featuring Manuel Hidalgo Sierra (El Indio) and Luis Abril Martín (El Nitro), is revolutionizing flamenco by merging it with funk, pop, and electronic music. Famous for the performers’ mesmerizing and energetic stage presence, La Plazuela has quickly attracted attention for its innovative sound, which reflects the band members’ Andalusian heritage while exploring exciting new directions. The result is a sound both nostalgic and contemporary.

Their first album, Roneo Funk Club, released in 2023, showcases their unique fusion of traditional flamenco rhythms with modern beats and electronic influences.  Their hit singles including “Tangos de Copera,” “El lao de la pena,” and “Péiname, Juana” have garnered millions of streams, reflecting the band’s widespread appeal and growing interest in their genre-blending music.

Flamenco Festival is dedicated to showcasing and promoting Spanish culture worldwide. Established in 2001, Flamenco Festival has evolved into the premier global platform for flamenco, captivating over 1.6 million people annually.
