It feels like full circle for me to work at the World Music Institute and to be able to help support its mission while serving as the organization’s Artistic Director. Having attended my first WMI concert back in 1992, I was first made aware of the incredible work the organization was producing for the public. I feel bringing diverse music and dance to public audiences and to help showcase and represent diverse communities and cultures is very important to the fabric of enriching our lives. I look forward to continuing to help to celebrate and highlight music from around the world at venues around New York and with its diverse neighborhoods and communities.
