Don’t miss this special noon session of WMI Plus At Home featuring guitarist, composer, ethnomusicologist, instrument builder, and innovator Paolo Angeli who will join us from his home in Italy. He plays a hand-crafted prepared Sardinian guitar that he designed with pedals and levers to add electronic and percussive sounds to his repertoire, transforming the visionary artist into a one-man band for a new millennium. He’ll be in conversation with guitarist, composer, arranger, lyricist, writer, educator, vocalist and Guggenheim fellow (2010) Joel Harrison, who is the founder and director of the Alternative Guitar Summit, a yearly festival devoted to new and unusual guitar music.
