WMI Plus At Home - Sharon Isbin and Ayaan Ali Bangash

WMI PLUS At Home experiences bring music from around the world into the comfort of your home. Renowned artists share their lives, instruments, and stories from their personal environments, bringing an intimacy and uniqueness to each event. These talks are led by fellow musicians, journalists, and ethnomusicologists. Live captioning will be provided during the event.

We are thrilled to provide these events for FREE. If you can donate any amount while registering for this event, it will help us to keep the music playing. THANK YOU!

Ahead of the much-anticipated NYC debut of “Strings for Peace”, join an online conversation between Grammy Award-winning classical guitarist Sharon Isbin (“the pre-eminent guitarist of our time” – Boston Magazine), and acclaimed sarod virtuoso Ayaan Ali Bangash, who will perform with Isbin along with his esteemed father, Amjad Ali Khan, and brother, Amaan Ali Bangash, at the special concert event on April 30 at Symphony Space. The two will reflect on the artistic dialogue that bridges Western classical guitar and Indian classical music.
