Join us for a special WMI PLUS At Home with Alsarah – singer/songwriter and founder of Alsarah and the Nubatones, who will chat with her sister and fellow band member, Nahid, in Alsarah’s kitchen as they prepare a meal. Born in Khartoum, Sudan, Alsarah and her family relocated to Yemen, finally settling in Brooklyn, NY where she has been residing since 2004. She is a self-proclaimed practitioner of East-African Retro-Pop music. The conversation will be followed by a Q&A with attendees.
