Renowned artists share their lives, instruments, and stories from their personal environments, bringing an intimacy and uniqueness to each event. These talks are led by fellow musicians, journalists, and ethnomusicologists. Live captioning will be provided during the event.

Join Grammy Award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist Leyla McCalla (Carolina Chocolate Drops, Our Native Daughters) as she invites us into her home studio for a conversation about her musical roots from Haiti to New Orleans. Leyla will share music and stories with Grammy Award-winning cellist Mike Block (Silkroad Ensemble), followed by a Q&A with attendees.
